THE MAIN ADVANTAGES OF DIGITAL PRINTED LABELS ARE:

  • Short Run Capabilities at a fraction of the cost of conventionally printed labels.

If relatively short print runs of custom labels are required, (100 labels upwards), the pricing will always be more favourable than labels printed on a conventional label press as there is virtually no Pre-Press set-up costs apart from any Artwork creation. This allows you to only order the labels that you need.

  • Consistent High Quality Labels up to 2400 x 1600 dpi

  • Full Colour Labels (CMYK Process) at single colour prices

  • Fast Turnaround times – can be manufactured and despatched within 24 hours

  • Cost Effectiveness to fit your budget

  • No Set-up Costs for Negative Films / Printing Plates , Die-Cutting Forme

  • Cut to any shape – Digital printed labels once printed can be die-cut to almost any shape imaginable at no extra cost as the Digital Die-Cutting does not require the purchase of Die-Cutting instruments.

FAQ

Why should I use a Digital Labels printer instead of a regular label print shop?

Basically the answer will depend on whether you want to print your labels in multi colours and whether you want to print a small quantity or a large quantity.

If your requirement is for small quantities of multiple kinds and you want to manage your cash flow whilst at the same time get the best quality possible, then digital printing is the answer.

What are the costs to setup prior to printing?

Unlike flexographic and letterpress printing methods which require the use of special printing plate for each colour printed, (which can amount to several hundreds of dollars), digital printing does not use plates to print. The ink is laid down onto the label stock electronically.

Am I restricted to standard sized labels?

No, your label can be any size or shape so long as it is within an overall size of 400mm x 200mm. We do not print on pre-cut blank labels. Our digital diecutter cuts the shape after the labels are printed. All you have to do is provide us with a cut line around your artwork. Corners should, at the very least, be slightly rounded.

What kinds of materials can I have my labels printed on?

The most popular material is Gloss or Matte paper which is suitable for most indoor applications. If you require Bumper Stickers or labels for use outdoors we recommend the use of Polypropylene or PET which are impervious to moisture and oil based products.

Can I use specific PMS colours?

Digital printing uses the CMYK method to produce millions of colours but this method does not always produce accurate PMS colours. Refer to the PMS Colour Bridge books to compare PMS colours when produced with CMYK technology. If you are using PMS spot colours, we must be told when an order is placed so that we can make the necessary alterations to the colour mix before we print so that we get the closest possible match.

Can I get a proof prior to printing?

The great advantage with digital printing is that we can produce just 1 copy of a label which can then be used as a proof. This allows you to check the label for accuracy and colour before committing to the print run. There is of course a small charge for this service.

What is the minimum number of labels that I can order?

Our minimum print quantity is 100 labels.

How long does it take before I get my labels?

Our normal turnaround time is approximately 5 –7 working days from final approval to print. Often jobs can be turned around in less time dependent upon work flow. Our preferred method of dispatch of small quantities is Australia Post Express where appropriate, which guarantees next day delivery to most major centres. Larger quantities are sent via Australia Post Road Freight or TNT Road Freight.

Can you print Gold or Silver ink?

No, neither colours are available in the digital ink range. A simulated colour is printed instead.

Will my labels come on rolls or sheets?

All of our labels are produced on rolls with a standard 38mm or 76mm core which allows our customers to be able to use them on special labelling machinery as well as by hand. We do however have facility to supply them on sheets of 1 up to sheets of 100 up.

What are your trading terms?

Our trading terms are – payment in full prior to dispatch of goods. We will email you with a copy of the invoice showing the amount due. Payment should then be directed by mail or by direct deposit to our bank account, the details of which are shown on the invoice. If after 5 purchases, it appears that you will become a regular customer, we may offer to provide you with extended credit terms.
